Mission: Care 2 Care - Coaching ourselves to care for the needy and homeless around the clock, not just on an outreach Saturday or Sunday service! But a lifestyle of love!
Care2Care was birthed in the presence of God one night as my husband and I were seeking the Lord. We believe the Lord was telling us for a long time to give an offering above our tithe of $40 each month. We gave only once for our offering and totally forgot about it, then the Lord brought it back to my attention and now to use that offering money to make care packages.
Ever sit at a stop light a...nd see a young girl with a sign who is homeless and needs help but you don't have anything to give but money? But you wish you could do more than give them money or you simply don't carry cash on you? Well, God gave me this idea through a process of several months to make care packages for the homeless and needy.
We are starting out simple with little bags with toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant,shavers, shaving cream, granola bars, even pads for women, and recently found small pocket book bibles that are the Gospel of John. Who knows where God wants to take this but all I know is that God gave me an idea and I wanted to help homeless and helpless people and just went with it.
The idea is to create packages for example $40 for us makes 10 bags, 5 for girls, 5 for guys, and leave them in your car. So even if you are on your way to taco bell for a snack or dinner and see someone at the stop light or outside of that fast food place pass it on! And let them know they are loved! And leaving your church's business card so they can reach someone for prayer or to attend church.
It's simply a way to teach us to be giving and loving the poor 24/7. Not just on certain days a church goes out on a saturday but this should be a lifestyle. I myself am very guilty of only being in my "giver" mode when it's that special saturday when all the church gets together, but God flipped my heart around and my husbands. God is letting us know this is a lifestyle he is seeking for us to obtain.
We can make this a movement in all of our churches to do this in their free time to put in their cars!
So, if you can start making bags and put it in your cars! Care2Care! Start out with just 3 bags, it doesn't matter! We aren't really living until we are living for others.
Be apart of this movement where ever you are!

Either donating products, granola bars, etc, or in a financial way, OR just going to the dollar store and travel section at Walmart and doing it yourself! Either way you will be apart of what God wants all of us to do; LOVE others unconditionally, always around the clock....not just on a Outreach saturday or a Church service sunday!
Lets make an impact in our cities and letting everyone know they are loved by one single act of random kindness!
